Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences (PBS) (ISSN: 2636-834X) is a peer-reviewed, quarterly, open-access scientific journal published online by the Turkish Association for Psychopharmacology since 2011. The journal publishes manuscripts in English and aims to contribute to the scientific literature in psychiatry, behavioral sciences, psychopharmacology, biological psychiatry, adolescent psychiatry, clinical neuroscience, neurological sciences, and related areas of mental health and neuropsychiatry.
PBS welcomes original research articles,
systematic reviews, meta-analyses, narrative reviews, case reports, brief
reports, letters to the editor, and related scholarly contributions in
experimental, basic, and clinical medical sciences. The journal covers a broad
range of topics, including bipolar disorder, depressive disorders,
schizophrenia spectrum disorders, anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive and
related disorders, trauma- and stressor-related disorders, attention-deficit/hyperactivity
disorder, autism spectrum disorder, substance use disorders, eating disorders,
personality disorders, sleep disorders, dementia and cognitive disorders,
epilepsy, stroke, neuromotor disorders, and other neuropsychiatric and neurological
conditions.
The journal’s primary readership includes
academic researchers, psychiatrists, neurologists, clinical practitioners,
psychologists, neuroscientists, and allied health professionals.
All submissions are processed through a fully
online manuscript submission, review, and tracking system. Submitted
manuscripts undergo an initial editorial assessment and, if found suitable, are
evaluated through a double-blind peer review process by at least two
independent reviewers. The final editorial decision is made based on reviewer
reports, scientific quality, originality, ethical standards, and relevance to
the journal’s scope.
